The Russian Navy will receive the small missile boat "Stupinets" of Project 12418, code "Molniya," in 2025. It was built at the Vympel shipyard in Rybinsk.
The first of the pair of small missile boats being built in Rybinsk is scheduled to be handed over to the Russian Navy in 2025.
According to the source, initially, two MRKs were being built in Rybinsk for a foreign customer. After they refused to purchase them, the Russian Navy became interested in the boats, and they were equipped with weapon systems necessary for the naval forces.
The boats of Project 12418 carry the "Uran" anti-ship missile system with Kh-35 missiles, the AK-630M anti-aircraft system, and the AK-176 artillery mount. Presumably, the "Stupinets" will join the Caspian Flotilla.
Main characteristics of Project 12418:
- Full displacement — 580 t
- Main dimensions (length, width, draft) — 56.9x10.2x2.4 m
- Maximum/economic speed — 29/14 knots
- Cruising range — 2900 nautical miles
- Endurance — 10 days
- Seaworthiness — 8 points
