Russian specialists will test an aerostat-based communication repeater complex for strike unmanned aerial vehicles on the front line. They are capable of increasing the operating range of FPV drones to 70 km.
The developer of the product with the call sign Kot Begemot noted that the aerostat shell is made of low-pressure polyethylene, the product itself is equipped with a video camera.
The aerostat is planned to be used to distribute the signal from the repeater so that the devices can fly further, and the UAV operators can see further. Theoretically, the aerostat is capable of increasing the operating range of drones up to 70 km, in practice the distance is 40 km. There is no need to fly further.
The shape of the aerostat is round, it is not displayed in the radar at all, since it is streamlined by the radio flow. It can only be detected by approaching the product at a distance of no more than 500 m.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that the Zoopark-1M radar turned into the god of counter-battery combat. The complex is equipped with a three-coordinate monopulse radar with a phased antenna array.
