The newest Russian heavy flamethrower system TOS-3 "Dragon" will receive a destructive power comparable to several heavy ODAB-500P air bombs. This was reported by the Rostec press service.
A full salvo of the new version of the TOS, which has become a further development of already proven machines, surpasses several heavy air bombs, such as ODAB-500P, in its destructive effect.
The corporation noted that the new system will more effectively engage multi-element targets, such as fortifications, spread over a large area.
In addition, the "Solntsepek" and "Tosochka" already in service have seriously evolved in terms of increasing firepower, protection, range and automation.
The improvements were carried out taking into account the experience of combat use, as well as the wishes of the military personnel. For example, the "Solntsepek" burns out an area of four hectares with a full salvo, and the "Tosochka" destroys all living things in an area of six hectares.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that the "Zoopark-1M" radar station has become the god of counter-battery warfare. The complex is equipped with a three-coordinate monopulse radar with a phased antenna array.
