Грядёт противостояние: новый кроссовер АвтоВАЗа на платформе Lada Vesta станет прямым конкурентом Haval M6

The cars will be close in price and some characteristics

The "PSMA Rus" plant, located in Kaluga, will begin production of "Russified" Haval M6 cars. Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of the "Za Rulem" magazine, believes that the future AvtoVAZ crossover, built on the Lada Vesta platform, will directly compete with the Chinese car.

Does the market need a car like the Haval M6? Judging by the sales volumes, it definitely does. In October, it took seventh place in the model standings among all new crossovers – 3,662 units were sold.

The expert speculated about a possible decrease in the cost of the Haval M6 if production is localized in Kaluga.

In his opinion, there are no such guarantees, as organizing production, including stamping body panels and painting, requires significant investments. At the same time, it is planned to organize the production of Haval M6 in a full cycle.

On the other hand, the increase in the recycling fee forces Haval, which has nowhere to retreat, to invest and conclude special investment contracts (SPIC) to receive compensation for recycling.

According to Kadakov, Haval M6 production will soon cease in China, and some of the equipment can be transported to Russia, for example, stamps for body parts. However, most of the components will still have to be delivered from China.

Will the Russian-assembled Haval M6 become one of the leaders in the class? Absolutely. And this, by the way, reveals the upcoming confrontation between the M6 and the future VAZ crossover, which is being designed on the "Vesta" platform.

The cost of the cars will be approximately the same, and they will also be similar in some parameters.

As a reminder, it became known earlier that in Kaluga, on the basis of the "PSMA Rus" plant, production of new cars belonging to a popular Chinese brand in Russia will start in the near future. This was announced by the Governor of the Kaluga Region, but he did not name the specific brand. Now it has become clear that we are talking about Haval M6.
