The chemical tanker "Azimuth-1" (project 00216M) has embarked on sea trials from the water area of the ASPO production site of the Southern Shipbuilding Center in the Caspian Sea. This was reported by the press service of USC.
The tests will last several days. The vessel, which is being built by order of Eurasia-Shipping Caspian LLC, has a crew and a delivery team on board. They will check the operation of the main engine, navigation and ship control systems, as well as the operability of all safety systems.
About the tanker "Azimuth-1"
The mixed river-sea navigation vessel was designed by specialists from the Nevsky Design and Engineering Bureau. It can be used to transport crude oil and petroleum products, as well as harmful liquid substances. Three types of cargo can be transported in one voyage.
"Azimuth-1" has six cargo and two slop tanks. Their total capacity is about 8900 m³, including cargo tanks — almost 8700 m³. The lead tanker of project 00216M "Sergey Lvov" was commissioned in 2023.
