From April 1, the rules for obtaining a driver's license in Russia will change. The exam retake periods will shift, you can make mistakes more often, and new exercises will be introduced for motorcyclists.
Previously, you could score five penalty points during the exam, now you can score seven. There are three attempts to pass the driving test. If the future motorist fails, then they can come for a retake in 6 months.
Motorcycle drivers will need to pass a new exercise - a "rut board". Motorcyclists will be required to drive along a specially prepared rut. At the same time, you can’t touch the ground with your feet, and you can’t go beyond the control line either.
After overcoming the rut, you need to stop at the "Stop" sign and shift the gearbox to neutral. The exercise "moving the motorcycle backwards without the engine running and parking it" will be canceled.
Required Documents
Currently, to obtain a license, you must provide a passport, certificates of completion of driving school and medical examination (form №003-в/у), an application, and a receipt for payment of the state fee. From April 1, SNILS and a notarized translation of the passport will be added to the list if it was issued by another state.
Who Will Be Refused to Take the Exam
Motorists who were caught drunk driving or those who refused a medical examination will be able to take the exam at the traffic police a year after the expiration of the sentence. Persons deprived of a driver's license, as well as those who did not appear at the military registration and enlistment office upon summons, will not be allowed to take the exam.
