Military pilots began to be trained in a new way in Russia: previously, even flights at extremely low altitudes were prohibited

Tactical developments of combat experience will be used in the training of aircraft and helicopter crews

The Russian Aerospace Forces have gained experience over the past few years that no one else in the world has. Now the task is to introduce it into the combat training of young generation aircraft and helicopter crews, including flights at extremely low altitudes, the use of weapons from pitching, and anti-missile maneuvers.

An important tactical element was working with pitching, when an aircraft fires or drops at the moment of a sharp climb with its nose raised relative to the horizon. Thanks to this, the trajectory of the ammunition becomes hinged and the range of destruction increases.

This allows you not to enter the zone of object air defense. But hitting from pitching is a difficult task. And this requires special skill from the crews. In addition, it is necessary to train pilots to perform anti-missile maneuvers.
Igor Malikov, Honored Test Pilot

According to the officer, flights at extremely low altitudes were previously prohibited because they were considered unsafe. And today it turned out that this is the most important element of combat training for pilots.

Earlier www1.ru wrote that the Ka-52 Alligator helicopter will receive a new Kh-39M missile with a range of more than 25 km. The official characteristics of the projectile are currently unknown.
