During preparations for a military parade in Algeria, an unusual version of the T-62M tank, designated BMPT-62, was spotted. It is equipped with the highly automated B05YA01 "Berezhok" combat module and represents a heavy combat vehicle for tank support.
The Tula-made "Berezhok" combat module provides the vehicle with superior firepower at distances up to 8 - 10 km during daylight hours, utilizing the "Sodema" sighting system and 9M133M-2 and 9M133FM-3 ATGMs, and up to 3.5 km at night. The operator also has a 2A42 automatic cannon at their disposal.
After being equipped with anti-drone/anti-cumulative "visors" and multi-band electronic warfare systems like "Kapushon" or "Tetraedr," the BMPT-62 can provide valuable service in supporting assault operations with fire.
Earlier, www1.ru wrote that the Ka-52 "Alligator" helicopter will receive a new Kh-39M missile with a range of over 25 km. Official specifications of the projectile are currently unknown.
