The protection of the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems has been enhanced with steel screens. Since 2024, the vehicles have begun to be equipped with screens made of armored steel five millimeters thick, which protect the system's hull.
The air defense system also received lighter screens to protect the turret from kamikaze drone strikes.
All these are already standard factory products - the industrial embodiment of army "tuning" of equipment, which was previously carried out as needed in the units.
The Tor-M2 carries 9M338 anti-aircraft missiles, which launch vertically towards the target. The tracked Tor develops speeds of up to 65 km/h on paved roads, and the system effectively works against both UAVs and HIMARS and ATACMS missiles.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that the Ka-52 Alligator helicopter will receive a new Kh-39M missile with a range of over 25 km. The official characteristics of the projectile are currently unknown.
