Anti-drone nets have been installed at the oil refinery in Kapotnya to protect against possible drone attacks. The footage has gone viral on social media.
The plant was damaged by a drone strike back on September 1. The mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, noted at the time that the fire only affected one of the auxiliary rooms and did not pose a serious threat.
According to their open sources, the plant in Kapotnya provides about 40% of Moscow and the Moscow region's needs for petroleum products.
Also in the summer of 2023, similar nets were previously installed at the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery to protect against drones.
