AvtoVAZ has officially confirmed plans to work with Rostelecom to create a digital vehicle environment management system based on the Aurora OS. This was announced during a visit by Mikhail Oseevsky, Chairman of the Board of Rostelecom, to AvtoVAZ.
The corresponding agreement on the creation of a new digital environment for the LADA car between AvtoVAZ, Itelma, Rostelecom, and Open Mobile Platform was recently signed at SPIEF. However, the timing of the first car equipped with such a system is still unknown.
Earlier at the "Aurora. Own Conference," Roman Alyautdin, Director of OS Development at Open Mobile Platform, spoke a little about what "Aurora Automotive" would roughly consist of. Based on the presentation, it will include everything necessary to support the functions of the car.
Itelma will provide a modern dashboard, Rostelecom will help with the cloud connection of the dashboard and multimedia system of the car, and Aurora Automotive will ensure the operation of the car's applications, its service solutions, and will be updated through the LADA online marketplace.
It is also known that the Russian Aurora OS will receive artificial intelligence. It will optimize data processing and improve the user experience.
