Alfa-Bank has announced the launch of a new mobile operator under the Alfa Mobile brand. This will be possible through cooperation with VimpelCom (Beeline brand), which will provide the necessary telecommunications services and infrastructure. Alfa Mobile is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2025.
Andrey Litvinov, CEO of Alfa Mobile, emphasized that the launch of this Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) will not only open new horizons for the bank but also improve the protection of customers' finances from fraudulent activities. This direction will be an important step for the company, which strives to provide its customers with more comprehensive and secure services.
Sergey Bykov, Vice President for Operator Business at VimpelCom, noted that the decision to partner with Alfa-Bank was the result of the company's recent large-scale network modernization throughout the country, which allows them to actively develop and offer new solutions for customers.
