In Russia, the localization of electronics production remains one of the key problems of import substitution in the field of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) production, noted Alexander Kravchenko, Project Management Director at Fly Drone.
According to him, Russian manufacturers mainly produce UAV gliders on their own, using a wide range of domestic materials. However, the main problem of import substitution is the electronic components, which requires special attention and investment.
Kravchenko also mentioned that the process of improving the characteristics of materials for the manufacture of hulls and other parts of drone structures will continue. In this context, he noted the importance of a new domestic development in the field of superstructural polymers, which can increase the resistance of structures to mechanical deformations. The ability to create materials that meet the requirements of the designed products will significantly improve the quality of the final product and expand the capabilities of Russian manufacturers in this area.
