Russian Armed Forces personnel have organized a new workshop for the repair and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The laboratory is restoring damaged UAVs around the clock: with broken cables and faulty suspension systems, with broken cameras. They also change the firmware of quadcopters and restore captured drones.
The workshop uses a 3D printer, which makes it possible to quickly provide the necessary parts to units using UAVs in combat operations.
The military prints tail sections for stabilizing ammunition, cups, knee pads, and various types of fasteners. In total, the repairmen restored more than a thousand drones, which then returned to service.
