More and more residents of Russia are unable to repay car loans on time. The number of borrowers with overdue payments of more than 90 days has reached 31.4 thousand people. The figure is the highest since November 2022. This was reported by the United Credit Bureau.
The reason for the overdue payments is the hype in the issuance of funds. One of the reasons for this could be the future increase in the recycling fee.
According to the Frank RG analytical agency, banks issued 173.8 thousand car loans. The total amount was 247.9 billion rubles. In addition, the car loan segment was subject to minimal regulation by the state.
According to Alexey Borodavin, a representative of the fintech company "Balance Platform", the increase in overdue car loan payments is a worrying sign. He also stressed that the actions of the Central Bank will have a greater impact on the approval of car loans.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that buying cars on credit in Russia will become more difficult from July 1.
