More Than 60 Drones to Be Sent to Protect the Forests of the Tyumen Region

They help catch poachers, detect fires, and detect the discharge of liquid fuel in forestry areas

Leonid Ostroumov, Director of the Forest Complex Department of the Tyumen Region, spoke about the replenishment of the drone fleet. According to him, by the end of the year, forestry workers in the region will receive 63 quadcopters for work by the end of the year.

On the one hand, we check how people have skills, on the other hand, we additionally train them in the skills of operating an unmanned aerial vehicle so that people can use the equipment to detect fires and various violations in the forests. This is how we recorded illegal logging, and the discharge of liquid household waste.

All drones are located in forestry areas, and not concentrated in Tyumen. Each forestry will have at least two drones, and forestry employees will be taught how to use them.

Earlier, at the Moscow Aviation Institute developed a system for detecting fires in forests using drones and charging towers.
