В Петербурге улучшат катамаран «Соммерс»

Engineering university students will practice their skills on the ship

The Association of Shipbuilders of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region will modernize the "Sommers" catamaran as part of the "Sommers-NIOKS" project. Currently, these catamarans run between Kronstadt and Peterhof.

The "Sommers–NIOKS" vessel can become a new milestone in the possible implementation of initiatives that were directed through the all-Russian acceleration program "NIOKS" for technology transfer, including in the interests of practical use and application of a wide range of educational programs for many participants, thus the combined project can become one of the examples of technology transfer from universities in our country.
Vladimir Gorelov, Executive Director of the Association of Shipbuilders of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region

Currently, Neva Travel is exploring the possibility of operating the vessel using liquefied natural gas technologies.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the first catamaran of project 04710 "Sommers" for tourist transportation was launched in St. Petersburg. College and university students of technical orientation will be able to practice their skills on the ship.
