To combat unmanned boats in the Black Sea, it is necessary to use Vikhr-1 and Kh-39 LMUR missiles to engage targets on the water surface from a distance of more than 10 km. This way, the crews of Ka-29 helicopters will protect themselves from a retaliatory attack by the R-73RMD-2 missile, said military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He cited as an example the episode of countering the highly maneuverable unmanned boat "Magura-V5", when the Ka-29 crew tried to intercept the BEC from a turret machine gun module based on the PKM, an aviation automatic cannon GShG-7.62 and a 23-mm AP GSh-23L.
At the same time, the enemy's BEC is equipped with a pair of highly maneuverable R-73RMD-2 short-range air-to-air missiles with a dead zone of less than 300 m. Therefore, the crew has only one way out - to destroy the drone with missiles or hit the missiles in transport and launch containers.
According to him, otherwise, after moving away from the BEC by more than 350 m, the Ka-52 may come under fire from the R-73RMD-2 SAM. Therefore, it is necessary to switch to the practice of using FPV interceptor drones, as well as Vikhr-1 and Kh-39 LMUR missiles from a distance of more than 10 km.
Earlier, The National Interest called the Russian T-72 tank the greatest in the world. Journalists stated Russia's ability to mass-produce modern modifications of the combat vehicle.
