AvtoVAZ is developing a platform for D-class cars. Insiders report this. They refer to a statement by automotive journalist Maxim Kadakov.
The D-class includes full-size sedans and station wagons, such as Toyota Camry, Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Passat, Audi A4, Ford Mondeo, Mercedes C-class, KIA K5, Hyundai Sonata, and others.
As a reminder, AvtoVAZ will soon begin selling the LADA Aura business sedan, primarily aimed at government officials. It should be noted, however, that although the car is considered a business class, it is shorter than the Toyota Camry and Skoda Superb, at about 4.6 meters. The thing is that the Aura is an extended LADA Vesta.
