T2 (formerly Tele2) has implemented Voice over LTE (Voice over LTE) technology in 23 regions of its presence. In eight of them, the service operates on domestic equipment developed by the Russian company STC Protey.
Voice over LTE technology using components from a domestic manufacturer has been implemented in eight regions where the operator operates. These include Tomsk, Ulan-Ude, Orenburg, Kurgan, Birobidzhan, Yekaterinburg, Ivanovo and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
Voice over LTE (VoLTE) allows you to make voice calls over a 4G network. This ensures a constant internet connection, fast connection and high voice quality. The cost of VoLTE calls is calculated in the same way as for regular voice traffic. At the same time, it is not necessary that the other person's phone supports this type of connection.
This technology was first introduced in Singapore in 2014. Gradually, it began to gain popularity around the world. VoLTE appeared in Russia in 2015.
Earlier, mobile operator T2 canceled roaming in Crimea and Sevastopol. After arriving on the peninsula, an automatic connection to the Miranda operator's network occurs. You can use minutes and gigabytes from the provided package; in other cases, services are charged at the standard rates of the plan, as when traveling to any other region of Russia.
