A video of a Russian Su-57 fighter jet carrying two Kh-59M2 Ovod-M2 missiles on external hardpoints has gone viral on social networks and messengers. This arrangement of weapons has caused mixed opinions, with some calling it not entirely logical.
Some experts noted that carrying weapons on external hardpoints significantly increases the effective scattering surface of the aircraft, making it more visible on enemy radars.
But it was the low visibility that was cited by the developers as one of the main advantages of the Su-57.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet officially commented on the installation of weapons on the external hardpoints of the Su-57 fighter. It is possible that such an installation of ammunition on the fighter is only part of the ongoing tests of the combat vehicle.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian soldiers have learned to effectively destroy heavy enemy Baba Yaga drones. They ram them with FPV drones.
