Russian forces at the forefront are using the high-precision Krasnopol guided artillery system. The ammunition was developed by the Instrument Design Bureau named after Academician A. G. Shipunov (part of the High-Precision Complexes NPO).
In addition to the high-explosive fragmentation guided projectile, it also includes a laser target designator rangefinder, which is used to precisely guide the product to the target.
The 152 mm Krasnopol can be used by all types of artillery systems, including modern self-propelled howitzers Koalitsiya-SV, Msta-S and Msta-SM. Its flight range is 20 km, and the weight of the warhead is 8 kg. The Krasnopol complex target designator is capable of capturing up to three targets simultaneously.
The latest modification of the projectile is the 155 mm Krasnopol-M2 with a firing range of 26 km, as well as increased accuracy in hitting small targets. In addition, it has increased combat power and the possibility of use at any time of the day, in strong winds and cloud cover.
Earlier, The National Interest called the Russian T-72 tank the greatest in the world. Journalists stated Russia's ability to mass-produce modern modifications of the combat vehicle.
