Опрос: мужчины активнее используют ИИ на работе, но женщины изучают его возможности глубже

The study showed that 70% of men do not consider training necessary to work with neural networks

The online programming school "Hexlet" conducted a study to find out how working Russians use artificial intelligence (AI) in their activities. The study showed that men are more likely to use neural networks to solve work tasks than women.

For example, among those surveyed, men are 12% more active in using AI than women. However, women take a more responsible approach to studying AI capabilities — two-thirds (66%) of women read accompanying information before using neural networks for more effective management, while 70% of men believe that they do not need training to work with AI.

Men are also more confident in sharing the results of their work with AI with management — 82% of the men surveyed stated that they openly use neural networks in their work and report this to their superiors. At the same time, only 51% of women are willing to admit to using AI in front of their superiors.

The analysis showed that neural networks are most actively used by employees in cities such as Perm (56%), Chelyabinsk (48%), Samara (45%), Novosibirsk (43%) and Moscow (41%). As for industries, AI is most often used in "Marketing and Advertising" (76%), "Education" and "Law" (50% each), as well as in "Information Technology" (39%).

The study was conducted using an online survey in September 2024 among 1229 Russians living in million-plus cities in Russia.
