Military personnel of the repair company of the "Center" group of troops restored the trophy American armored personnel carrier International MaxxPro (manufactured by Navistar International). The fighting vehicle will enter service with the Russian Armed Forces.
This piece of equipment has been restored and is ready to be transferred to combat units to perform combat missions.
The armored personnel carrier was blown up by a mine and fell into the hands of Russian soldiers. According to the company commander, its tires were destroyed, oil, hydraulic, and air system pipes were broken, and the electrical wiring was not working.
The International MaxxPro was evacuated for repairs. Studying the enemy's fighting vehicle made it possible to gain useful technical experience. For about a month, the military personnel were engaged in its restoration, using Russian spare parts.
The armored personnel carrier is an analogue of the Russian reconnaissance vehicle. At the same time, it differs in transmission, braking system, suspension and armor.
