DDoS-атаки продолжают угрожать российским медиахолдингам и банковскому сектору

The Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) stated that state support is needed to ensure the security of media holdings and banks

Media holdings and banking resources are the main targets of DDoS attacks, and this threat will persist for a long time. State support is necessary to combat such attacks, stated the Director of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC), Sergey Grebennikov. He noted that protection against DDoS attacks requires comprehensive efforts and mentioned existing laws aimed at protecting citizens.

He noted that DDoS attacks continue to be a relevant problem that will have to be lived with in the context of information warfare. In his opinion, media holdings and banking services are under the greatest threat. Grebennikov emphasized that such attacks can be used to spread fake information and intimidate users of banking services, creating a sense of instability in their finances.

Grebennikov added that even a high level of digital literacy among the population will not help in the fight against DDoS attacks, so active state assistance is needed. He noted that Russia has already adopted laws aimed at protecting citizens from cyberattacks, including the law on the sovereign Runet and the law on the storage of personal data.
