Deliveries of the promising 9K512 Uragan-1M multiple launch rocket systems have begun to the rocket artillery divisions of the Russian army on the front lines. Military expert Evgeny Damantsev explained what makes this complex unique.
He noted that the Uragan-1M is equipped with two types of transport and launch modules with a batch reloading method, adapted for the use of 220-mm unguided rockets 9M27F/K with a range of up to 36 km and 300-mm guided rockets 9M540 / 544 / 549 with a range of 120 km.
The container for the 220-mm unguided rockets 9M27F/K is represented by 15 transport and launch cells, for the guided rockets 9M549 - 6 cells. Obviously, the first production vehicles have already gained operational combat readiness.
In addition to batch reloading, the Uragan-1M system has a modern automated fire control system, which ensures instant deployment at a firing position in less than a minute.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec had delivered a new batch of armored BMD-4M and BMP-3 with Nakidka protection kits to the troops. Additional protection includes products for strengthening armor and lattice screens.
