On the morning of October 3, 2024, a planned check of alert systems took place in Moscow, including in the subway. Passengers at stations heard a siren and warnings from loudspeakers, informing them that the check was planned.
The operation of alert systems was also carried out on the surface of the city with the participation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, where the signal "Attention Everyone!" was activated — loudspeakers sounded in the streets, and radio and television channels temporarily interrupted their programs to transmit information messages.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations previously urged citizens not to panic when they heard the siren signal and advised them to turn on the television to receive up-to-date information. Regular checks of alert systems are necessary to ensure their operability and assess the readiness of duty services.
