Planned Alert System Check Held in Moscow Metro

The "Attention Everyone!" signal sounded in the capital during a planned alert system check

On the morning of October 3, 2024, a planned alert system check was conducted in Moscow, including in the subway. Passengers at stations heard a siren and warnings from loudspeakers, informing them that the check was scheduled.

The alert systems were also tested on the surface of the city with the participation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, where the "Attention Everyone!" signal was activated — loudspeakers sounded in the streets, and radio and television channels temporarily interrupted their programs to broadcast informational messages.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations previously urged citizens not to panic when they heard the siren signal and advised them to turn on the television to receive up-to-date information. Regular checks of alert systems are necessary to ensure their operability and assess the readiness of duty services.
