AvtoVAZ has started production of the first bodies for the latest LADA Niva Legend Sport model. According to insiders, four bodies have already been manufactured in the welding complex, which have been modified. This process is performed by only one specialist, who manually welds the necessary brackets in the engine compartment and reinforces the bottom.
A separate welding station was organized for these operations, where a semi-automatic welding machine is used. After completion of the modification, the bodies were checked by specialists from LADA Sport, who were satisfied with the quality of work.
Insiders also reported that only 2-4 Niva Legend Sport bodies are planned to be produced per day. After that, painting and transportation of finished bodies to the LADA Sport site for final assembly will be carried out.
