Российские музыкальные стриминговые сервисы начинают маркировку исполнителей-иноагентов

\"Yandex Music\", \"VK Music\", \"Zvuk\", and \"MTS Music\" Implement New Requirements Starting October 3

Starting today, \"Yandex Music\", \"VK Music\", \"Zvuk\", and \"MTS Music\" are beginning to label artists with foreign agent status in their music libraries. This was announced by Anton Gorelkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.

According to him, the details of the technical implementation of the labeling were discussed with industry representatives for a significant amount of time, and a solution was eventually found. The authorities will carefully monitor how platforms and rights holders comply with the new requirements and will take action in case of violations.

Representatives of \"Yandex Music\" and \"MTS Media\" stated that since music streaming services do not work directly with artists and their content, information about the status of a foreign agent artist will come from industry associations or regulators. This means that the platforms themselves will not independently determine the status of artists, but will only follow the instructions received from the relevant organizations.
