Bloomberg: в «мозгах» российских ракет нашли американские компоненты

Western sanctions did not prevent Russia from purchasing chips

Since 2022, the US and 40 other countries have introduced export control measures to prevent the sale of electronic components for military products to Russia. This includes Western-made semiconductor chips. However, a number of companies have ignored these requirements, Bloomberg writes.

It was expected that the sanctions would stop the flow of components from the West to Russia. However, as Bloomberg writes, customs data suggests otherwise.

Millions of components were sent to Russia in violation of export controls. For example, components from 4 companies were found in the navigation systems of some Russian missiles: Infineon Technologies, Integrated Silicon Solution, Silicon Laboratories and Analog Devices.

Many components from American chip suppliers are brought to Russia from Hong Kong. All of this ends up at Russian defense industry enterprises.
