Sergey Kogogin: Robotization at one of KAMAZ's plants has reached 85%

At the plant producing cabin frames, 117 robots work alongside 223 personnel

The cabin frame production plant of PJSC "KAMAZ" currently employs 223 people and 117 robots. The level of robotization has reached 85%, said Sergey Kogogin, General Director of the company, at Digital Innopolis Days x AI IN 2024 in Kazan.

According to him, his company is striving for a 95% robotization rate in production.

If you do a simple arithmetic calculation, that's 5850 robots per 10,000 people. Moreover, the turnover is close to zero, although the salaries are not supernatural at all, but average for the company.

Kokogin added that the main problem in automating existing production facilities is the reluctance of personnel to work on them. The middle management does not want to acquire new skills, so it is better to create robotic production immediately.
