Industrial designer Nikolai Pronin has proposed a project for a new "Volga", reimagining the classic features of the legendary GAZ models. In his design, he retained key elements characteristic of previous generations, such as the GAZ-21 and GAZ-3111, and proposed a rear-wheel drive layout commensurate with modern cars, such as the BMW 3-Series G20.
Pronin, in an interview with the Telegram channel "Автопоток", emphasized that his design is not a simple copy, but an evolution of the traditional "Volga" style. Among the characteristic details are the shape of the daytime running lights, referring to the round headlights of the GAZ-21, as well as the interpretation of the grille and marker lights. The entire project was completed in Blender and Photoshop.
According to Pronin, the new "Volga" should become a business sedan, corresponding in characteristics and equipment to competitors such as the BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4, while maintaining its unique philosophy and style.
