KAMAZ started using a new ATOS-5 scanner to find defects in parts

High-resolution 3D scanner will show and highlight fragments made with errors

The ATOS-5 optical three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine operates on the principle of structured light on the scanned object.

Unlike coordinate measuring machines, which are also available in the central factory laboratory, the ATOS-5 sensor is not a probe, but a high-resolution 3D scanner. Each part is degreased before being installed on a special table, and then treated with a spray that \"paints over\" all surfaces that may glare. After several shots from different angles, a three-dimensional figure of the part is recreated. The resulting information is uploaded to the program and compared with the mathematical model. Green indicates parts of the part within tolerance, blue and red indicate parts made with an error.

In addition to it, the central factory laboratory has recently had an AUS-8144 express analyzer. With its help, the content of carbon and sulfur, which affect the hardness of products made of this material, is determined in metal in three minutes. The laboratory assistant weighs metal shavings intended for analysis on a mass corrector, pours it into a calcined ceramic crucible and places it in a high-frequency induction furnace. It is burned in it at a temperature of 1700 °C, while the device, separating carbon dioxide from sulfurous gas, determines the content of carbon and sulfur in the metal.

A new SPAS-05 spectrometer is used for a more detailed analysis of metals and alloys. A sample, the chemical composition of which needs to be determined, is installed on a special table; it performs the function of one of the electrodes. A low-voltage spark is formed between the sample and the tungsten electrode; in the discharge, evaporation and luminescence of the sample atoms occur. On the new spectrometer, the spark generator allows you to select the optimal mode for solving the problem, while the measurement accuracy is higher.
