USC Commences Construction of Electrical Equipment Repair Workshop at SPO "Arktika"

The Northern Production Association (SPO) "Arktika" (part of USC) has begun construction of a new workshop for the repair of electrical equipment. The company is actively involved in the construction of 4th generation SSBNs of the "Yasen" and "Borei" projects, the corporation's press service reported.

The new workshop will speed up ship repair work and improve working conditions for the company's employees. The project is being implemented with budgetary funds and will be completed in 2027.

The modernization concerns everything: from individual machine tools to complete re-equipment and the construction of new workshops.
Andrey Grinkin, Director of the Capital Construction Department of USC

Grinkin emphasized that the modernization program will create opportunities for the development of the Russian shipbuilding industry.

Director of SPO "Arktika" Yuri Dushkin stated that modern ships have a lot of electrical equipment, so it is necessary to create new sites for their repair.
