In the special forces unit of the Airborne Forces in the Moscow region, training of drone operators has been organized. Classes are held at one of the training grounds under the guidance of experienced unmanned aviation instructors.
Special forces paratroopers are trained in conducting reconnaissance in conditions of electronic warfare by the enemy, controlling FPV drones and UAVs for dropping ammunition with precision. Adjustments for trainees are made taking into account the experience of real combat operations.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation noted that military personnel are studying the basics of drone control, including the principles of operation, maintenance of equipment, their tactical use, navigation, software and technical part of drones of various types, as well as vulnerable points of lightly armored and heavy equipment.
After the theoretical part, trainees begin to practice flights on special virtual simulators, where they learn to overcome natural and artificial obstacles, objects of urban development. During practical exercises, UAV crews move to a given area, from where they prepare and launch drones.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian soldiers used a gun-machine gun at the front. It is built on the basis of a decommissioned ZU-23-2 installation with shoulder rests.
