It is assumed that the universal QR code will allow 206 banks participating in the FPS and 4.7 million points of sale operating through this system to accept payments using it. At the same time, all bonuses from banks under loyalty programs and cashback are retained for customers.
The introduction of the NSPK solution for payment using QR codes, by analogy with the technical standards for payment cards, will, on the one hand, minimize the costs of banks and trade and service companies, and on the other hand, provide bank customers with a more convenient customer journey.
According to NSPK, in two months of operation of the QR code, by mid-August, 1.5 million transactions were carried out using the universal QR code. At the initial stage, 20 banks participated in the testing. Currently, as part of the pilot launch, the code is already used by 22 banks and 86 thousand points of sale throughout Russia.
At the next stage, NSPK plans to connect the QR code to operations with digital rubles as well.
