The Russia-China "Northern/Interaction — 2024" naval exercises have started in the Far East, the Pacific Fleet press service reported.
A detachment of warships from the Pacific Fleet and the Chinese Navy left the port of Vladivostok. The exercises involve the large anti-submarine ships "Admiral Panteleev" and "Admiral Tributs", the small anti-submarine ships "MPK-82" and "MPK-107", as well as the small missile ship "Smerch". China is participating in the maneuvers with the destroyers "Xining" and "Usi", the frigate "Lin Yi", and the integrated supply ship "Taihu".
The press service of the Pacific Fleet explained that the exercises will take place in the Sea of Japan. The ships will practice repelling an attack by a mock enemy from the air and water.
From September 10 to 16, exercises "Ocean – 2024" were held in the waters of the Pacific and Arctic Oceans, the Mediterranean, Caspian and Baltic Seas, which became the largest in recent decades.
