The domestic satellite system "Gonets" will allow fishing vessels to receive information about fish aggregation areas. This was announced by representatives of JSC "Satellite system "Gonets" within the framework of the VII International Fisheries Forum and Exhibition of the Fish Industry, Seafood and Technologies.
The system is planned to be used in the Far East.
The "Gonets" satellite equipment will help captains of fishing vessels receive this important information directly at the fishing grounds. This, in turn, will save fuel and increase the overall efficiency of searching for commercial bioresources.
A new ship station for small vessels was presented at the forum. The device is made in a single housing and includes a modem, satellite antenna, power and control units. This approach reduces the requirements for sites for installing the system.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the tests of the compact communication terminal "Gonets- Autonomous" have been completed.
