The GTD-110M gas turbine, created to replace foreign units, has reached maximum capacity. It is used as part of the Udarnaya TPP in the Krasnodar region. It is manufactured by the United Engine Corporation (UEC), which is part of Rostec.
During the tests, the turbine operated for 72 hours at maximum load. No issues were identified in its operation. The capacity of Udarnaya TPP reached 560 MW after the launch of the third power unit.
The commissioning of this thermal power plant will reduce the load on the power system of the Krasnodar region and the South of Russia. It will serve the industrial enterprises of the region, the municipal sector, and housing.
It is planned that GTD-110M turbines will be installed instead of imported equipment at TPPs across the country.
