The robot tractor copes with agricultural tasks without human intervention

Russian developers from Cognitive Pilot have tested the operation of an unmanned cabless mini-tractor. During the tests, it cultivated the selected field area in autonomous mode.

The robot tractor is designed for agricultural activities (spraying, cultivation, harrowing, plowing). Artificial intelligence (AI) helps the device avoid collisions and navigate in space.

Technical characteristics of the tractor:

  • Power take-off shaft speed — 540 rpm.
  • Speed — from 5 to 25 km/h.
  • Suspension — three-point universal.
  • Positioning system — GNSS, inertial; machine vision.
  • Onboard neural processor performance — 100 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second).
  • Course following accuracy — 2-5 centimeters.
  • Power — 30 hp.
  • Weight — 970 kg.

The AI-based mini-tractor is capable of operating autonomously, without human intervention. All necessary parameters are set via a special interface.

It is worth noting that the robotic mini-tractor has no analogs in the world.
