The "Rosatom" State Corporation has started the construction of a wind power plant in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the government of Kyrgyzstan.

The capsule laying ceremony for the construction of the new wind power plant took place in the village of Kok-Moynok-Pervoye in the Issyk-Kul region.

The project envisages the construction of a 100 MW wind power plant with a planned annual output of 290 million kWh. The construction period will be 12 months.

Currently, specialists are conducting wind measurements at the site of the future power plant. This will allow an assessment of the potential of the selected location and the operation of wind power installations.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025. The wind power plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2026.
