The "Generalissimus Suvorov" nuclear-powered submarine cruiser of the Pacific Fleet (TOF) of project 955A "Borei-A" returned to its permanent base in Kamchatka after combat service. The submarine crew was met at the pier by the command of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet, representatives of local authorities, as well as relatives and friends.
The commander of the submarine cruiser, Captain of the Second Rank Alexey Bobkov, reported that the crew had completed the combat mission in full, the personnel were healthy, and the equipment was in good working order.
The commander of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet, Vice Admiral Vladimir Dmitriev, congratulated the personnel of the "Generalissimus Suvorov" nuclear submarine on the successful completion of all assigned tasks and, according to tradition, presented the commander with a roasted piglet. The women's council and family members prepared poems and gifts for the crew of the cruiser.
The crew of the nuclear submarine cruiser of the "Borei-A" project was on combat duty for more than two months and covered over 5,000 nautical miles. After replenishing all types of supplies, the submarine cruiser is ready to perform new tasks for its intended purpose.
The main weapon of the strategic missile carriers of the "Borei/Borei-A" project is 16 Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles on each.
