A representative of AvtoVAZ OJSC, Sergey Ilyinsky, commented on the sharp increase in the cost of LADA Vesta, explaining it by the impact of inflation.
In an interview with the Ridus publication, he noted that since 2015, the price of a car in the basic configuration has increased by 725,000 rubles, reaching 1,239,900 rubles. According to Ilyinsky, this increase in price corresponds to the overall level of price increases in markets that do not relate to socially significant goods.
He emphasized that prices have risen in many sectors of the economy, such as real estate, clothing, fuel and air travel, and the increase in the cost of cars follows the same trends, explaining the situation by the inevitable impact of inflation.
