The nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine "Yury Dolgoruky" of project 955 (code "Borei") of the Northern Fleet is currently undergoing its first scheduled repair. This was announced by the chairman of the All-Russian Fleet Support Movement (DPM), Vladimir Maltsev.

According to him, the work will last at least two to three years.

By now, the shipbuilders of "Sevmash" have built and handed over to the Russian Navy seven nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines of projects 955/955A.

Each of the "Borei" family cruisers carries 16 intercontinental ballistic missiles "Bulava".

Earlier www1.ru reported that "Tor-M2KM" began to be installed on small missile ships. This is the latest modification of the SAM system, made according to the modular principle.
