Russian military personnel destroyed three U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS launchers on the front line with a strike from Iskander high-precision missile weaponry. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The department noted that after confirming the target characteristics, the command decided to strike the MLRS positions with high-precision missile weaponry.
Objective monitoring tools confirmed the destruction of: three HIMARS MLRS launchers, three escort vehicles, and a transport-loading vehicle.
Analyst Evgeny Damntsev clarified that recording three launchers during a single reconnaissance flight was facilitated by the effective night work of UAV operators of the S350M "Supercam" optoelectronic reconnaissance, using a short-wave thermal imaging sighting channel.
Military expert Evgeny Mikhailov noted in an interview with www1.ru that the mass destruction of HIMARS is the result of coordinated work by both space and air reconnaissance.
The Russian Armed Forces have begun to conduct much better measures to detect such high-precision weapons. With a new approach to conducting combat operations, we are seeing better results.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian MLRS "Tornado-G" has been modernized. The improvements affected communications equipment, ammunition, and control.
