Importers from China refuse to supply to Russia without prepayment

Chinese suppliers refuse to sell dual-use goods to Russia without prepayment. This concerns industrial equipment, electronics and other technology.

Problems arose against the background of a new package of sanctions, which affected many companies from China. Because of this, some of the goods are delayed in importers' warehouses, and the cost of delivery to Russia has increased by 15%.

Most of all difficulties arise when purchasing:

  • Electronic components and microchips.
  • Equipment for communications, oil and gas industry, navigation, mechanical engineering and energy.
  • Components for the space and aviation industry.
  • Industrial machines.

In some cases, payments did not go through even for goods that were not subject to sanctions. Therefore, Chinese importers decided to work only on prepayment.

Even the supply of purely civilian products can be blocked just in case, which is fraught with a shortage and rise in price of a number of goods or a reduction in their availability on the Russian market.

It is worth noting that banks in China have begun to pay attention even to payments through third countries. In the future, problems with payment for goods from China will gain momentum.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the USA introduced sanctions against 400 individuals and legal entities from Russia.
