A mock-up of the head car of a high-speed train for the new line connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg is presented at the "Manege Station. Moscow Transport 2030" exhibition in Moscow. The press service of "Russian Railways" (RZD) reported that visitors to the exhibition can inspect the mock-up of the car from the inside.
The head of RZD, Oleg Belozerov, noted that the main manufacturers of systems and components of the new train are Russian companies. According to him, the development is proceeding according to schedule, and in the first quarter of 2026, it is planned to approve the design documentation and begin manufacturing the first prototype.
The Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, said at the exhibition that the new train, named "White Falcon", will be able to reach speeds of up to 400 km/h. He noted that the train will reduce travel time between Moscow and St. Petersburg to 2 hours 15 minutes, and between Moscow and Tver to 39 minutes. It is also reported that the journey time from Zelenograd to the center of Moscow will be 14 minutes.
The train will be equipped with 460 passenger seats, including seats for people with limited mobility. In addition, it is planned to create a children's play area in one of the cars.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the HSR Moscow—St. Petersburg will receive 41 high-speed trains from GTLK.
