Russian military forces carried out a high-precision strike with a gliding guided modification of the FAB-3000M-54 aerial bomb, equipped with a modernized software-based universal planning and correction module. The munition has become much more accurate, noted military expert Evgeny Romantsev.
He noted that the circular error probable of the FAB-3000M-54 is now no more than 15-20 meters, compared to the previously demonstrated 35-50 meters.
Such indicators were ensured by optimizing the software algorithms of the guidance system, flight controller, and fly-by-wire control system, as well as the higher noise immunity of the 8-beam antenna of the GLONASS/GPS correction radio navigation module "Cometa-M."
It is also highly likely that this UFAB-3000M-54 is equipped with an optoelectronic correlation sensor and a television homing head for identifying and capturing targets in conditions of powerful L-band electronic interference.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia has launched mass production of the Chaborz M-4 buggy. Full-scale production will begin in 2025.
