Russian military forces carried out a high-precision strike with a guided glide modification of the FAB-3000M-54 aerial bomb, equipped with a software-updated universal glide and correction module. The munition has become much more accurate, noted military expert Evgeny Romantsev.
He noted that the circular probable deviation of the FAB-3000M-54 is now no more than 15-20 meters, compared to the previously demonstrated 35-50 meters.
Such indicators were ensured by optimizing the software algorithms of the guidance system, flight controller, and fly-by-wire control system, as well as the higher noise immunity of the 8-beam antenna of the GLONASS/GPS correction radio navigation module "Cometa-M."
It is also highly likely that this UFAB-3000M-54 is equipped with an optoelectronic correlation sensor and a television homing head for identifying and capturing targets in conditions of powerful L-band electronic warfare jamming.
Earlier,www1.ru reported that Russia haslaunched mass production of the "Chaborz M-4" buggy. Full-scale production will begin in 2025.
