Иран нарастил экспорт в Россию автозапчастей на 450%

Export volume in this direction has reached $66 million over the past two years

This was reported by representatives of Iranian automotive corporations at the MIMS Automobility Moscow exhibition, according to IA "TASS".

Representatives of Iran Khodro and Saipa, who previously spoke about their desire to increase joint production of cars and spare parts with Russia, gave an interview to Iranian TV channel IRIB. They noted that they hope that this increase in imports will significantly increase the trade turnover between the two countries and meet the growing needs of the Russian auto component market.

It is also known that at MIMS Automobility Moscow, the Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Mining of Iran, Farshad Mogimi, discussed with AvtoVAZ the prospects for exporting Iranian spare parts for the needs of the Russian automotive industry.

Farshad Mogimi proposed that the Russian side work on the idea of creating a consortium for the supply of Iranian goods to Russia. According to him, quoted by the Iranian news agency IRNA, "the formation of an export consortium will facilitate the provision of related services in the transportation of goods and will contribute to strengthening the presence in the markets of other countries".

Earlier in 2023, AvtoVAZ noted that it plans to start selling the entire LADA model range on the Iranian market. The Iranian side was not against it, and the first export cars were supposed to be bought in this country as early as 2024, but it is not yet known whether sales have begun.
