The Institute of Thermophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences will present an unmanned airship at the "Technoprom – 2024" forum. It is planned to be launched into the air and demonstrated in flight.
According to Vadim Vasiliev, Minister of Science and Innovation Policy of the Novosibirsk Region, the airship differs from its counterparts. The unmanned aerial vehicle is capable of rotating, braking, rising, and descending in a vertical position thanks to new cyclorotor engines.
Together with the Institute of Thermophysics, we will launch and control an unmanned six-meter airship right in the exhibition hall of the forum. This is a new type of airship that can quickly rise, turn around in a small space, and very accurately position its signal via GPS.
The unmanned airship is planned to be used for cargo delivery and passenger transportation.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that tests of the second version of the "Partizan" drone will start in the spring of 2025.
